The XVI Sagra Eno-Gastronomica in Butera celebrates the region's typical products with tastings, sensory experiences, and itinerant performances by the "A Lanterna" folk group. Enjoy three days of festivities in the historic center with live concerts, art exhibitions, sports activities, food and wine conferences, and a visit to the Arab-Norman Castle. Free shuttle service and caravan parking are available.
The festival kicks off on **FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd** at 5:00 PM with a conference titled "The Food of Longevity - Ancient Soul of Sicily" and a book presentation "Sicilia: cibo e poesia" by Dott.ssa Maria Grazia Fasciana at the Council Chamber. **SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3rd** starts at 10:30 AM with the IV Edition of "BASTA UN FIORE" - Butera Green for children (6-10 years old) and Civil Service youth in Piazza Gevelsberg and Piazza Gramsci/Villa Comunale. An art exhibition, "Il Maestro del Sughero" by Dino Lancianese, will be open at the Atrio Comunale. At 6:00 PM, there's a Self-Defense and Martial Arts course "Wing Tsun Kung Fu" with Valentino Quattrocchi and Angelo Calciura in Piazza Gramsci. The tasting stands officially open at 7:00 PM with an inaugural ceremony and an itinerant performance by the "A Lanterna" folk group in Piazza Dante, followed by a live concert by Time Less at 9:00 PM in Piazza Dante. **SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4th** sees the tasting stands open at 6:00 PM. The "Il Maestro del Sughero" art exhibition continues at the Atrio Comunale. Don't miss the Oasi dello Sport Challenge with Valentino Quattrocchi and Ilenia Noto in Piazza Gramsci, and more itinerant performances by the "A Lanterna" folk group. The evening concludes with a comedy variety show featuring Roberto Lipari at 9:30 PM in Piazza Dante, followed by concerts from Manfredi Di Liberto, Danilo Sacco, Manlio Dovi, and Antonio Panzica in Piazza Dante. Throughout the festival, the Arab-Norman Castle will be open for visits, guided by Civil Service youth. A free shuttle service will run from the cemetery parking lot and Piazza Sicilia. Caravan and camper parking is available at the sports field, also with a free shuttle service.
