Experience the best of autumn in Valle Brembana with the 18th edition of Sapori & Cultura, a food and wine festival celebrating chestnuts and local traditions. Throughout October and November, enjoy chestnut tastings, local cheeses and cured meats, roasted chestnuts, workshops, botanical walks, and charming markets. The event culminates in the Festa dei Biligòcc in Castagnone and the Castagnamo festival at the end of November.

The festival kicks off on Sunday, October 4th, from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM in Piazza Martina with a local product market and roasted chestnuts. On Friday, October 9th, at 6:00 PM, enjoy an aperitivo by the brazier with chestnut and wine tastings at Agriturismo Casa Martina. Monday, October 19th, at 9:00 AM, features 'Boscati per le scuole,' an educational event about chestnuts for students from Istituto Superiore San Pellegrino in Castagneone and Casa Martina. Saturday, October 31st, at 2:00 PM, join a botanical walk among 'potions and witches' with a monstrous snack afterward in Piazza Martina. On Friday, November 6th, at 6:00 PM, 'Sapori e risate' offers a tasting of local cheeses and cured meats with comedy from Morot! at All'Antico Borgo. Sunday, November 15th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, don't miss the Festa dei Biligòcc in Castagnone di Poscante, featuring ancient crafts, food stalls, awards for the Valle Brembana Literary Competition, and a presentation of the Borghi della Valle Brembana. Sunday, November 22nd, at 2:30 PM, 'Magie con le castagne' is a creative workshop for children aged 6 to 11 at Museo della Valle. The festival concludes on Sunday, November 29th, from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM with Castagnamo, a local product market, showcooking in the piazza, roasted chestnuts, Vin Brulé, and awards for the 16th edition of the photo contest (running from October 4th to November 22nd, 2026, celebrating local food, landscapes, and culture).
