The Sandkerwa in Bamberg is an annual festival held around August 24th, the feast day of Saint Bartholomew. It takes place in the historic center, between the Markusbrücke and the Schranne, honoring the Church of Elisabeth. Visitors can look forward to a diverse program featuring traditional Fischerstechen, live concerts, dance events, and a festive mass. Numerous rides and food stalls complete the offerings, all culminating in a spectacular fireworks display from the Michaelsberg.
