The 'San Polo da... Gustare' food and wine event celebrates authentic local and farm-fresh products. For two days, the historic center of San Polo dei Cavalieri transforms into a delicious journey, offering appetizers, traditional first courses, grilled meats, roasted chestnuts, and homemade desserts, all paired with local wine and extra virgin olive oil. The program also features live music, performances, artisan markets, and guided tours of the stunning Castello Orsini.
Indulge in a delightful array of local specialties, including traditional pasta dishes, succulent grilled meats, and an assortment of local cheeses and cured meats. Don't miss the freshly roasted chestnuts and homemade desserts, all perfectly complemented by local wine and the renowned extra virgin olive oil from the Sabine hills.
Join us for a weekend of festivities! On Saturday, October 17th, at 6:00 PM, head to the Sala ex teatro Castello Orsini Cesi for an exclusive tasting of extra virgin olive oil from Azienda Agricola Ricci, followed by a wine tasting featuring Azienda vinicola Sinibaldi di Maria Elena Sinibaldi. Sunday, October 18th, kicks off at 9:45 AM with the opening of food stands and tastings of typical products. A Holy Mass will be held at 10:00 AM at Chiesa San Nicola di Bari. Kids' entertainment starts at 11:00 AM in Piazza Santa Liberata, followed by a performance from the Concerto Bandistico San Polo dei Cavalieri 1863 at 11:30 AM. At 3:00 PM, enjoy a special roasted chestnut tasting in Piazza G. Marconi. The EXTRA DIXI JAZZ BAND will perform at 4:30 PM, and the evening concludes with SHARON LA MANGIAFUOCO E FAGIOLINO CLOWN at 6:30 PM.
