The 55th Sagre d'Avost in Martignacco, also known as Festa della Tagliata or Sagre dal Plevan, is one of Friuli's most significant summer events. This festival celebrates delicious cuisine, with 'tagliata' (sliced grilled steak) as the star, alongside other grilled meats, frico (a traditional cheese and potato dish), gnocchi, fried calamari, and mixed fried seafood. The festivities also feature lively dance orchestras and a rich entertainment program for all ages.
Indulge in a variety of local specialties, including the star of the show, 'tagliata' – perfectly sliced grilled steak. You'll also find other succulent grilled meats, the traditional Friulian 'frico' (a savory cheese and potato delight), comforting gnocchi, crispy fried calamari, and a delicious mixed fried seafood platter.
The festival offers a packed schedule of events! Enjoy 'Cinema d'estate 2025' with a screening of 'TROLLS 3' on Thursday, July 24th at 9:00 PM. Live entertainment with MAURO&CAROL kicks off Friday, July 25th at 8:30 PM, followed by a Rock Live night with MAD QUEEN at 10:00 PM. Saturday, July 26th features the RENZO BIONDI orchestra at 9:00 PM. Sunday, July 27th starts early with the 2nd Mediofondo Colline Moreniche e Lago 3 Comuni cycling race at 7:00 AM, followed by a dance performance from DANCE TEAM FRIULI at 7:30 PM and the Marco e I Niagara orchestra at 9:00 PM. A healthy dinner evening is planned for Wednesday, July 30th at 8:00 PM, and the MINIFESTIVAL 2025 singing competition takes place Thursday, July 31st at 8:00 PM. On Friday, August 1st, AFDS Martignacco organizes blood donations at Palazzo Polverosi from 8:30 AM, with more entertainment from MAURO & CAROL at 8:30 PM and live music with EXES at 10:00 PM. Saturday, August 2nd includes the presentation of ASD UNION MARTIGNACCO's 'Prima Squadra' and 'Juniores' at 7:00 PM, followed by the DANIELA CAVANNA orchestra at 9:00 PM. Sunday, August 3rd is a big day with the '1° FESTA della COMUNITA' DI MARTIGNACCO' featuring markets and cultural activities starting at 7:00 AM, a 'PASSEGGIATA A 6 ZAMPE' (6-legged walk) at 8:30 AM, entertainment with MAURO&CAROL at 7:30 PM, and the ROSSELLA FERRARI E I CASANOVA orchestra at 9:00 PM. The grand finale on Monday, August 4th includes a dance exhibition by BALANCE DANCE LAB at 7:30 PM and the I CARAMEL orchestra at 9:00 PM.
