The 92nd edition of the historic Sagre da Madone dal Carmine tal "Borgat" returns, one of the most cherished summer events in Tolmezzo. Organized by the APS Gruppo Shanghai, this festival keeps the traditions of the Borgat alive with great food, music, and community gatherings. The program includes film screenings, dance evenings, and a traditional procession.
Indulge in classic Italian festival fare! Savor crispy french fries, and don't miss the star of the show: Polenta, served with either traditional frico cheese or a new, crumbly frico specialty. For meat lovers, there's also Polenta paired with delicious Italian sausage.
Join us for a week of festivities! From MONDAY, July 13th to SATURDAY, July 18th at 8:00 PM, a Holy Rosary will be held at the Church of Santa Caterina. On THURSDAY, July 16th, at 9:00 PM in Piazza Mazzini, enjoy a CINESTATE outdoor movie screening by the Municipality of Tolmezzo, featuring the animated film "SPONGEBOB." The fun continues on FRIDAY, July 17th, with food stands opening at 7:00 PM in Piazza Mazzini, followed by a special 45th-anniversary GAZEBO event by Radio Studio Nord at 8:30 PM. SATURDAY, July 18th, brings more food and gastronomy starting at 6:30 PM in Piazza Mazzini, and an evening of music with the STEFANIA MARCHESI Orchestra performing "Mamma Mia" at 8:30 PM. SUNDAY, July 19th, begins with a Solemn Holy Mass and Procession with the image of the Blessed Virgin del Carmine at 10:30 AM, accompanied by the Venzone Band. Food stands open again at 1:00 PM, with musical entertainment by "Alex" and face painting for kids at 3:30 PM in Piazza Mazzini. The festival concludes with a dance evening featuring the MELODY MUSIC group and Manuel on accordion, starting at 8:30 PM in Piazza Mazzini.
