The Sagra di Volpago celebrates Santa Maria Maddalena with six days of festivities. Each evening, food stands offer local and Abruzzese specialties, including new additions like grilled rooster. The program features music, tournaments, workshops for children and adults, and a charity auction. The event culminates with a Holy Mass, a procession, and the final lottery drawing.
Indulge in a wide array of Italian delights! Savor authentic Abruzzese Arrosticini (grilled lamb skewers), traditional Baccalà (codfish), and various grilled meats like Braciola and Mortadella with arugula and balsamic. Don't miss the new grilled rooster with potatoes, or the classic Spiedo (spit-roasted meat). For lighter bites, there are Hot Dogs, Panini, and Pastin, alongside refreshing Birra and local side dishes like Fagioli con Seurund and Patatine Fritte.
