Experience the traditional Sagra di Sant'Anna in Forno, a charming hamlet nestled in the Apuan Alps, from Friday, July 17th to Sunday, July 26th. This annual festival takes place every evening amidst the narrow streets of the historic village. The Sagra di Sant'Anna is deeply rooted in ancient traditions, tracing its origins back to pagan festivals and the transhumance of shepherds moving their flocks between high and low pastures. With the advent of Christianity, these gatherings evolved into celebrations honoring saints, and in Forno, it coincides with the veneration of Saint Anne, the mother of the Virgin Mary, to whom a small chapel just outside the village is dedicated. The festivities run daily from 7:00 PM to midnight, with live music and dancing continuing the celebration after dinner.
