Experience one of Friuli's oldest and longest-running festivals, celebrating its 526th edition! Ten uninterrupted days of festivities in the Borgo di San Rocco await, featuring charity tombolas, abundant food stalls with local specialties, engaging exhibitions, book presentations, cultural meetings, workshops for all ages, and the traditional Gara dei Scampanadors (Bell Ringers' Competition), now in its 51st year.
Get ready for ten days of fun at the Sagra di San Rocco! The festival kicks off on FRIDAY, AUGUST 7th, at 7:00 PM with a solemn inauguration, traditional dances by the "Santa Gorizia" folk group, and a toast. Food stalls and a charity raffle open at 7:30 PM, followed by an evening of dancing with "I SOUVENIR" until 11:30 PM. SATURDAY, AUGUST 8th, starts at 6:00 PM with the first "Meeting under the tree," featuring a book presentation by Roberto Covaz. Food stalls open at 7:30 PM, and "RENÈ E LA SUA ORCHESTRA" will play for a dancing evening from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM. On SUNDAY, AUGUST 9th, don't miss the 51st "GARA DAI SCAMPANOTADORS" (Bell Ringers' Competition) starting at 4:00 PM on the San Rocco bell tower, with teams from Gorizia, Slovenia, and Friuli. Food stalls open at 7:30 PM, and "FANTASY" will provide music for dancing from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM. MONDAY, AUGUST 10th, features a cultural meeting at 6:00 PM on "The Night of San Lorenzo between faith and wonder." Food stalls open at 7:30 PM, followed by dancing with "MEDITERRANEA MUSIC GROUP" at 8:30 PM. The FIRST CHARITY TOMBOLA drawing for €3,000.00 takes place at 10:30 PM. TUESDAY, AUGUST 11th, offers a creative pastry workshop, "MANINE IN PASTA," at 4:30 PM (reservations required via email). Food stalls open at 7:30 PM, and "DJ ZIPPO" will spin tunes for a dancing evening from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12th, has another "Meeting under the tree" at 6:00 PM with a book presentation. Food stalls open at 7:30 PM, and "MEDITERRANEA MUSIC GROUP" returns for a dancing evening at 8:30 PM. The SECOND CHARITY TOMBOLA drawing for €3,000.00 is at 10:30 PM. THURSDAY, AUGUST 13th, food stalls open at 7:30 PM, and "FANTASY" will play for a dancing evening from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM. On FRIDAY, AUGUST 14th, at 6:00 PM, there's a presentation of traditional Gorizia weddings by the "Santa Gorizia" folk group. Food stalls open at 7:30 PM, followed by dancing with "DJ FRANCK" at 8:30 PM. The THIRD CHARITY TOMBOLA drawing for €3,000.00 is at 10:30 PM. SATURDAY, AUGUST 15th, food stalls open at 7:30 PM, with an evening of dancing starting at 9:00 PM. The festival concludes on SUNDAY, AUGUST 16th, with the PATRONAL FEAST OF SAN ROCCO.
