Join us for the 30th anniversary of the ancient Sagra di San Lorenzo a Baura! This beloved festival, celebrating three decades with the Pro Loco, offers a rich program of music, games, motor shows, live performances, and delicious food. Indulge in gastronomic stands featuring traditional Ferrara specialties, from fresh seafood to savory meat dishes, alongside a dedicated piadina stand. It's the perfect opportunity to experience thirty years of local traditions and community spirit.
Savor authentic Ferrara cuisine with a variety of meat and fish specialties, alongside classic Italian street food like piadine, pinzini, and panini. Refreshing beverages will also be available to complement your meal.
The festival runs daily from July 31st to August 10th, 2026. The main food stand, located in the Chiostro Olivetano, will serve Ferrara fish and meat specialties every evening from 7:30 PM (except August 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th). The Piadineria stand, offering piadine, pinzini, panini, and drinks, will be open every evening from 7:30 PM in the Churchyard (except August 5th). Every evening, explore an exhibition at the Museo Olivetano from 7:30 PM and browse the creative, hobbyist, vintage, and general market in the piazza. A fun park with inflatables, foosball, a train, ping pong, and shooting games opens at 9:00 PM, followed by live music in the public gardens at 9:00 PM. Highlights include the San Lorenzo running race, traditional prize games, stargazing with Astrofili, a mechanical bull tournament, and the 'MISS TRATTORE 2026' beauty pageant. Enjoy a foosball tournament, the non-competitive gravel bike ride 'San Lorenzo in bici,' and a card tournament. Don't miss the radio-controlled model exhibition, the 'San Lorenzo in moto' Vespa rally, and an evening market. Groove to afro & funky music with Dj Spranga-Silvano-Ebreo at Bar Gelateria La Piazza, or take a boat tour with the motorship Nena. Experience vintage tractors with plowing, threshing demonstrations, and parades by Gruppo Trattoristi Ferraresi. There will also be an exhibition of vintage buses and public transport memorabilia by inBUSclub Emilia-Romagna, with an option for a historic bus trip including lunch at the sagra. On the day of San Lorenzo, join the procession through the village with the patron saint's statue, accompanied by the Banda di Cona, concluding with a grand final tombola. Specific musical events include: Remember Chicago Afro Funky with DJ Ebreo-DJ Spranga-DJ Silvano on Monday, August 3rd; an Irish party with 'SUPER FOLK' on Tuesday, August 4th; 'The Mistress of Rock' on Wednesday, August 5th; 'The Fresh Finferleys' on Thursday, August 6th; and Melody Typhoon, Cosmic, Dj Loda & T.B.C. on Tuesday, August 11th.
