The 49th edition of the Sagra dello Spaghetto dei Carbonai celebrates the rich food and wine traditions of this historic Umbrian village. Indulge in authentic dishes like spaghetti al Carbonaio and all'Amatriciana, savory pork chops, mixed grills, and delicious stuffed tarts. Enjoy live music every evening featuring local and national artists. Don't miss the highlights: the 46th Mule and Pack Horse Exhibition on Saturday, July 18th, and the traditional Palio del Carbonaio, an exhilarating donkey race between the 7 districts, on Sunday, July 26th.
Experience a true taste of Umbria with a menu featuring local specialties. Start with the 'Antipasto del Carbonaio' or classic Prosciutto e Melone. Enjoy hearty pasta dishes like the signature Spaghetto del Carbonaio and Spaghetto all'Amatriciana, or traditional Fagioli e Cotiche. Main courses include grilled pork chops, mixed pork grill, and unique lamb Corata. A variety of savory tarts, filled with local cured meats like Barbozzo, Prosciutto, Salame, and Salsicce, or fresh vegetables, are also available. The festival kicks off on Friday, July 17th, with the ORIENT EXPRESS ORCHESTRA at 10:00 PM, followed by a '90s Dance - DONKEY PUB Special Event. Saturday, July 18th, features the 46ª Rassegna del Mulo e del Cavallo da Soma starting at 8:00 AM. Enjoy live music on Tuesday, July 21st, with SIMONA QUARANTA, and on Wednesday, July 22nd, with MARCO CIMARELLI & FRANK DAVID CARPINETI. The grand finale on Sunday, July 26th, offers free admission and includes the exciting Palio del Carbonaio donkey race, followed by live music from LIVE N GRIFON. Plus, the DONKEY PUB will be open every evening from 10:00 PM for drinks and music.
