The 38th edition of the Sagra dello Gnocco brings irresistible aromas and flavors to the charming village of Pieve di Compresseto, nestled in the green heart of Umbria. Enjoy three days of conviviality, music, and, most importantly, delicious gastronomic delights. New this year: "ASPETTANDO LO GNOCCO"! On July 30th, the Sagra dello Gnocco kicks off with a special evening of music and fun. Get ready for a fantastic 90s party with DJ Lele and DJ Wappa, accompanied by the voice of Fabio Pinchi, perfect for dancing under the stars and starting the summer in Pieve. A rich apericena with food stands will also be waiting for you, where you can savor local specialties in a festive and friendly atmosphere. Entry is ticketed and includes a welcome drink and finger food. The tradition of handmade gnocchi returns to the heart of Pieve di Compresseto for one of summer's most anticipated events: the Sagra degli Gnocchi di Patate Fatti a Mano (Handmade Potato Gnocchi Festival), where taste, tradition, and conviviality have met for generations. The undisputed star of the festival is the potato gnocco, prepared according to ancient village recipes and entirely handmade each day by the dedicated volunteers of the Pro Loco. From the early morning hours, the large preparation table comes alive: some knead the potatoes, others prepare the traditional "bigolo" (a type of pasta roll), and still others cut the gnocchi one by one, passing down gestures and knowledge that are part of the community's history. The entire village enthusiastically participates in organizing the event, transforming the sagra into a true community celebration where hospitality, great food, and entertainment create a unique atmosphere every year.
