Experience the 43rd edition of the Sagra delle Castagne di San Simone in Prata di Sopra, a vibrant village festival packed with activities. Explore traditional Italian flavors with baccalà (salted cod), grilled cheese, and tripe, alongside mixed mushrooms and crispy french fries. Start your meal with a selection of mixed cheeses or the exquisite IGT "Nonno Bepi" Sauris raw ham. The festival kicks off on October 12th with a Holy Mass at 11:30 AM at Chiesa di San Simone, followed by a special lunch for seniors at 12:30 PM. Evening festivities begin on October 16th at 7:00 PM with a "No Stress, Just Blues Panini!" night (kitchen closed), featuring live music at 9:30 PM with the "SOUL MEN BAND - The Italian Blues Brothers." October 17th and 18th bring more food and fun, with the Chiosco di Sopra - Area Giovani and the main food stand opening at 7:00 PM (6:30 PM on the 18th), plus a floral charity fishing game. DJ sets with Lino Lodi and Toni Dotta (17th) and "I 3 dell'ave Maria + l'intruso" (18th) will keep the energy high. October 19th is the G.A.S.S. Giornata Agricola S. Simone | Atto Terzo, including a tractor tour and lunch, with a DJ set by Gardano in the afternoon. Mid-week offers a medical information evening on October 22nd and a Burraco tournament on October 23rd (kitchen closed both nights). The party resumes on October 24th with food stands and a DJ set by dijeijesus. October 25th is a highlight with the GIANT SPIEDO (spit roast) evening at 7:00 PM (while supplies last), preceded by DJ Mr. Ed and followed by Giorgio Gosso dj - Gosso's Party. October 26th features a "Let's go! Mania 90/2000" aperitivo and DJ set, plus a choral evening "Voci per San Simone" at 8:30 PM (kitchen closed). The festival concludes on October 28th with a Holy Mass for the Patron Saint at 7:30 PM at Chiesa San Simone, followed by a procession, and the "Discount the Closing Party" DJ set at 10:00 PM.
