🐷 The Sagra della Porchetta di Aiccia, now in its 74th edition, celebrates one of the most famous gastronomic products of the Castelli Romani: Porchetta di Ariccia IGP. For three days, the historic center comes alive with food stands, porchetta vendors in traditional costumes, music, shows, market stalls, and popular traditions. The most anticipated moment is the distribution of the characteristic porchetta sandwiches, while the festival concludes with a spectacular fireworks display.
Indulge in the authentic flavors of the Castelli Romani with local wines, the renowned Porchetta di Ariccia IGP as a main course, and delicious porchetta sandwiches perfect for street food.
Saturday, September 5th kicks off the festival with the opening of the event, featuring stands from Porchetta di Ariccia IGP producers, live music and entertainment, and market stalls throughout the historic center. Sunday, September 6th is the main day of the Sagra, offering tastings of Porchetta di Ariccia, porchetta vendors and performers in traditional costumes, more music and shows, the traditional distribution and 'launch' of porchetta sandwiches, and a grand concluding fireworks display. The festivities continue on Monday, September 7th with the continuation of the event and food stands.
