🐷 The Sagra della Porchetta di Ariccia, now in its 74th edition, celebrates one of the most famous gastronomic products of the Castelli Romani: Porchetta di Ariccia IGP. For three days, the historic center comes alive with food stalls, porchetta vendors in traditional costumes, music, shows, market stalls, and popular traditions. The most anticipated moment is the distribution of the characteristic porchetta sandwiches, while the festival concludes with a spectacular fireworks display.
Indulge in the authentic flavors of the Castelli Romani with local wines, the renowned Porchetta di Ariccia IGP as a main course, and delicious porchetta sandwiches perfect for street food.
Saturday, September 5th marks the opening of the festival, featuring stands from Porchetta di Ariccia IGP producers, live music and entertainment, and market stalls throughout the historic center. Sunday, September 6th is the main day of the Sagra, with tastings of Porchetta di Ariccia, porchetta vendors and performers in traditional costumes, more music and shows, the traditional distribution and 'launch' of porchetta sandwiches, and a grand fireworks finale. The festival continues on Monday, September 7th with ongoing events and food stands.
