From August 21st to 30th, 2026, the charming hamlet of Costano in Bastia Umbra hosts the 51st Sagra della Porchetta, an unmissable event for lovers of authentic Umbrian cuisine. Each evening kicks off at 5:00 PM with the porchetta kiosk, followed by food stands opening at 7:00 PM, serving delicious pasta dishes, torta al testo, grilled meats, burgers, and pulled pork. At 8:00 PM, the "Angolo del Ghiottone" (Gourmand's Corner) satisfies those with a sweet tooth, while from 9:30 PM, live dance orchestras liven up the dance floor. This beloved festival is organized by the Gruppo Giovanile di Costano with the help of dedicated volunteers.
Indulge in a variety of Umbrian delights, from hearty pasta dishes and savory grilled meats to the star of the show, porchetta – a succulent, slow-roasted pork specialty. Don't miss the traditional torta al testo, a delicious flatbread, alongside popular street food options like juicy burgers and tender pulled pork.
