From August 21st to 30th, 2026, the charming hamlet of Costano hosts the 51st Sagra della Porchetta, an unmissable event for lovers of authentic Umbrian cuisine. Each evening, the porchetta kiosk opens at 5:00 PM, followed by food stands at 7:00 PM offering a delicious array of pasta dishes, torta al testo, grilled meats, burgers, and pulled pork. At 8:00 PM, the "Angolo del Ghiottone" (Gourmand's Corner) satisfies those with a sweet tooth, while from 9:30 PM, live dance orchestras liven up the dance floor. This beloved festival is organized by the Gruppo Giovanile di Costano with the help of dedicated volunteers.
Indulge in a variety of local delights, including traditional pasta dishes, the savory torta al testo flatbread, succulent grilled meats, and of course, the star of the show: porchetta – a savory, slow-roasted pork specialty. For those craving something different, there are also delicious burgers and pulled pork options.
