Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sagra della Polenta in Santa Maria in Selva di Treia! This traditional festival offers a rich program of events, including food stands serving various polenta dishes, grilled meats, and polenta fritters. Enjoy live music, vintage car and motorcycle rallies, card tournaments, and a captivating photo exhibition.
Indulge in a variety of polenta dishes, from classic polenta with rich sauces like sausage, duck, or cod, to unique sweet polenta with sapa (cooked grape must). Don't miss the crispy polenta fritters and delicious grilled meats, offering a true taste of local Italian culinary tradition.
The festival kicks off on SEPTEMBER 17 at 9:00 PM with a BURRACO TOURNAMENT, followed by a BRISCOLA TOURNAMENT on SEPTEMBER 18 at 9:15 PM. SEPTEMBER 19 features a conference on "HISTORY AND TRADITIONS OF POLENTA" at 5:00 PM, with polenta served from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and a MAX PER SEMPRE 883/Pezzali Tribute Band at 9:30 PM. SEPTEMBER 20 includes the XX VESPARADUNO (Vespa Rally) at 9:00 AM, Holy Mass at 9:30 AM, polenta served from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and a black and white photo exhibition "DOVE LE ANIME SI INCONTRANO" by Mirko Pizzichini at 9:00 PM. The festivities continue on SEPTEMBER 25 with polenta from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM and a YOUTH NIGHT with SUGAR CLUB & DJ LUCA MORETTI at 9:30 PM. SEPTEMBER 26 offers more polenta from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM and a performance by ORCHESTRA FEDERICO OLIVOTTI at 9:30 PM. The final day, SEPTEMBER 27, features the 4° RADUNO FIAT 500 (Fiat 500 Rally) at 9:00 AM, Holy Mass at 9:30 AM, polenta served from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and live music from ROBERTO CARPINETI DANCE BAND at 9:00 PM, with afternoon and evening performances by Stornellatori Grazie Grazia and ANDREA CENSI BAND.
