Rovetta welcomes back its famous Patata and Red Roasted Corn Festival. From Friday September 11th to Sunday September 13th, the historic town centre comes alive with guided tours of local farms, artisan markets, folk parades, traveling theatre shows and live music. Each evening, food stalls serve delicious dishes centered on the region’s prized potatoes and red roasted corn, while cultural performances and a pastry competition add extra flavor to the weekend.

Friday, September 11, 2026 – At 6:30 pm the municipal hall hosts a presentation of the book “Alpine Peasant Food – Production and Consumption in the Lombard Mountains (1800‑1960)” by Dr. Michele Corti, followed by a tasting of local products. Saturday, September 12, 2026 – The day starts at 10:00 am with a guided visit to the Beccarelli farm (meeting point: Piazza Ferrari) and a complimentary aperitif for participants. From 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm the streets of Via Fantoni and Via Magri host artisan and food stalls. At 3:30 pm a historic‑costume folk parade winds from Parco Vilafant to Piazza Ferrari, followed by a presentation of the folk groups and the travelling theatre show “Le Sedie Cadenti” at 4:00 pm. Food stalls open at 6:30 pm, and at 9:00 pm the country band Piantastabile takes the stage in Piazza Ferrari. Sunday, September 13, 2026 – Artisan markets remain open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. At 10:15 am a puppet show by Virginio Baccanelli delights the crowd in Piazza Ferrari. The potato‑and‑corn cake contest is awarded at 11:45 am (entries due by September 10 at the Pro Loco office). Food stalls reopen at noon, followed by a repeat performance of “Le Sedie Cadenti” at 3:00 pm. At 3:30 pm the second edition of the “Corsa delle Fraschere” runs through the town centre (sign‑up deadline September 9). The festival concludes with a Sunday mass at 6:00 pm in the parish church.
