Sagra · September 19, 2026 – September 21, 2026 · Muro Lucano (PZ), Muro Lucano (basilicata)
The Sagra della Patata di Montagna returns to Muro Lucano from September 11th to 13th, 2026, for its 15th edition! This three-day festival is a celebration of Muro Lucano's unique mountain potatoes and traditional Lucanian cuisine. You'll find delicious tastings, local gastronomy, live music, captivating shows, and activities designed to help you explore the beautiful Basilicata region. The star of the show is undoubtedly the mountain potato, used by local chefs and restaurateurs to create both classic regional dishes and innovative culinary interpretations. Beyond the food, the festival is a fantastic opportunity to visit Muro Lucano, one of Basilicata's most charming villages, and discover its rich landscape, history, and culture.
Indulge in traditional Lucanian specialties, with the mountain potato as the star! Savor comforting gnocchi, a classic Italian pasta dish, and experience the unique flavor of 'patate sotto la cenere' (potatoes cooked under the ashes), a rustic and authentic local preparation.
