The Sagra della Nocciola is Caprarola's most important and longest-running event, eagerly anticipated by the local community. It takes place between the last week of August and the first week of September in the main areas of the Historic Center. This year, it celebrates 70 years of tradition with live music, spectacular fireworks, and free tastings of typical hazelnut-based products.
Indulge in a variety of delicious hazelnut-based specialties, including 'Nocciolato' – a unique local treat – and other traditional hazelnut products that showcase the region's rich culinary heritage.
The festival kicks off on Friday, August 21st at 9:00 PM with the '70 Years' Sagra della Nocciola inaugural ceremony, featuring festive illuminations and videomapping. On Saturday, August 22nd at 9:30 PM, enjoy the Radio Globo Summer Party with DJ sets by Riccardo di Lazzaro and Jacopo Saliani. Sunday, August 23rd at 12:30 PM brings the 'Voglio Tornare negli Anni '90 Party' with music, entertainment, and special effects. The following Friday, August 28th at 9:50 PM, catch the Scirockati Live Show performing the best of Italian music. Saturday, August 29th features a concert by Nomadi with Willy Nocchia, followed by the Regional Miss Mondo Scirockati selection on Sunday, August 30th. Monday, August 31st at 10:00 PM, try your luck at 'Tombolata Sotto le Stelle' (Bingo Under the Stars), animated by I Trequattro, with a prize pool of €2,000. The festival concludes on Tuesday, September 1st with a spectacular fireworks display and the 'La Fabbrica del Nocciolato' Folkloristic Floats Parade, offering free distribution of typical hazelnut products.
