The 53rd Sagra della Lumaca brings three days of festivities to Barbarano Romano. This event offers a rich program of entertainment, including tournaments, traditional games, live music, and magic shows. Food stalls will feature delicious snails and other local specialties, with takeout options available.
Indulge in authentic local flavors with freshly made pasta, including gnocchi, and a variety of traditional snail dishes, a true regional delicacy.
Join us for three days of fun! On SEPTEMBER 4th, enjoy a Burraco tournament at 3:00 PM, traditional games for kids in Piazza A. Diaz at 4:00 PM, and a performance by the Banda Comunale "F. Taranta" through the town streets at 6:00 PM. Food stands open at 8:00 PM, followed by '2000 forever' – a party taking you back to the 2000s! – at 10:00 PM, and a DJ set with Maurice Flee at midnight. SEPTEMBER 5th kicks off with takeout snail sales at 12:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, there's a Briscola and Tresette tournament and a slingshot competition under the walls. Be amazed by 'Ricky il mago' with a magic show at 6:00 PM. Food stands open again at 8:00 PM, followed by 'Come Max' – an 883 and Max Pezzali Tribute band – at 10:00 PM, and a DJ Set with Jonny Black at midnight. On SEPTEMBER 6th, kids can enjoy traditional games and a drawing competition in Piazza A. Diaz at 10:30 AM. Takeout snails are available from 12:00 PM. Another slingshot competition takes place under the walls at 4:00 PM, and a fresh pasta workshop for children with Cristina (specializing in gnocchi) is at 5:30 PM.
