This event celebrates 'canaiola,' a unique local specialty from Umbrian tradition, alongside a delicious array of typical dishes. Indulge in truffle-infused cappellacci, tagliatelle with rich goose sauce, premium Chianina IGP steaks, and the beloved 'torta al testo' flatbread. Enjoy ten evenings of festivities featuring food stalls, live music, comedy shows, tribute bands, and artistic performances.
Prepare your taste buds for an authentic Umbrian feast! The Sagra della Canaiola offers a wide selection of local delights. Start with the 'Antipastone Canaiola,' a generous platter featuring torta al testo, cured meats like capocollo and prosciutto, mushroom and meat crostini, fresh mozzarella, olives, cheese, and a hearty spelt salad. Don't miss the homemade supplì or the trio of bruschetta with tomato, olive oil, and mushrooms. For your main course, savor truffle-infused cappellacci, gnocchi or tagliatelle with rich goose ragu, or grilled Chianina IGP steak. The 'torta al testo' flatbread comes with various fillings like barbozzo (cured pork cheek), local greens, sausages, eggplant and cheese, or prosciutto. Sweet treats include bomboloni with chestnut or hazelnut cream, tozzetti biscuits, and roasted chestnuts.
Join us for ten evenings of entertainment! Each night, food stands open at 7:30 PM, followed by live performances at 9:00 PM. The festival kicks off on Friday, September 18th, with dancing to Orchestra Spettacolo Castellina Pasi. Saturday, September 19th, features Orchestra Spettacolo Simona Quaranta. On Sunday, September 20th, catch the RealFitBoxe Show at 5:00 PM before enjoying Orchestra Spettacolo Elena Cammarone. Monday, September 21st, presents an Artistic Roller Skating Exhibition by Scuola New Star. Tuesday, September 22nd, brings laughs with a comedy show by I 7 Cervelli. Wednesday, September 23rd, rocks with the POOH Tribute Band - Fantastic Fly. Thursday, September 24th, dances with Orchestra Spettacolo Matteo Tassi. Friday, September 25th, features Orchestra Spettacolo Marco Cimarelli. Saturday, September 26th, welcomes Orchestra Spettacolo Lia e Daniele Tarantino. The festival concludes on Sunday, September 27th, with Orchestra Spettacolo Una Tantum.
