The Sagra del Tordo is one of Montalcino's most significant identity festivals, a grand historical re-enactment that involves the city's four Quarters: Borghetto, Pianello, Ruga, and Travaglio. From October 23rd to 25th, 2026, the village returns to its medieval atmosphere with historical costume parades, traditional dances, ceremonies, and the great Archery Tournament between the four Quarters. 🍽️ On Saturday and Sunday, the Quarters' food stands open at the Giardini dell'Impero, offering tastings of typical Montalcino dishes. 🎟️ Saturday's 'Provaccia' (dress rehearsal) has free admission. 💰 Sunday's Archery Tournament is ticketed; free admission for children up to 6 years old. Tickets can be purchased at the food stands of the four Quarters and on Sunday at the Archery Field. 🍽️ For food and wine, reservations are available directly with the Quarters.
