The Sagra del Tordo is one of Montalcino's most important traditional festivals, established in 1958 and celebrated on the last weekend of October. From October 23rd to 25th, 2026, the village comes alive with its ancient traditions, featuring historical parades with over 150 participants in 15th-century inspired costumes, folk dances, and a spectacular archery challenge between Montalcino's four historic districts: Borghetto, Pianello, Ruga, and Travaglio. On Saturday and Sunday, the districts' food stands at the Giardini dell'Impero will offer typical Montalcinese dishes.
