The Sagra del Riso in Sanfrè celebrates its 11th edition, transforming the town into the capital of zero-kilometer rice. This event offers a rich program with gastronomic evenings dedicated to rice-based specialties, live music, street food, and themed dinners. You'll also find wellness activities and the Miss and Mister Sagra pageant, all highlighting local culture and culinary excellence.
Indulge in a variety of rice-based delights, from traditional Sanfrè rice dishes to crispy arancini. Don't miss the unique San Rice Hamburger, featuring a soft rice flour bun, Fassona beef, purple cabbage, and melted cheese. Other street food options include various pinsa flatbreads, ravioli with a local 'ris e coj' filling, and even Sanfredese meat sushi for an adventurous taste.
The festival kicks off on Friday, October 2nd with a 'Cena al Contrario' at 8:15 PM at Palariso (€35.00, reservations required by September 30th). Street food will be available all day on Saturday, October 3rd, and Sunday, October 4th, which also features the 'Cena Poke del Roero' at 7:30 PM at Palariso (€15.00, no reservation needed). Mid-week, enjoy a special dinner in memory of Carlo Petrini on Wednesday, October 7th at 8:15 PM (€35.00, reservations by October 5th), followed by 'Il Riso incontra il Pesce' on Thursday, October 8th at 8:15 PM (€40.00, reservations by October 6th).
