The Parish of San Bartolomeo in Merlengo di Ponzano Veneto (TV) invites you to the 50th edition of the traditional Sagra del Riso, running from FRIDAY, AUGUST 22nd to SUNDAY, AUGUST 31st. Enjoy 10 days of celebration in honor of the Patron Saint San Bartolomeo, marking the 106th historical edition and the 50th modern edition of this beloved festival. Come and DINE at the SAGRA, even if the weather is uncertain – all seating is covered! At our FOOD AND WINE STAND every evening, in addition to RICE SPECIALTIES, you can savor mixed grills, cotechino sausage, hamburgers, grilled cheese, polenta with sopressa salami and mushrooms, roast beef, carpaccio, vitello tonnato, mixed cheeses, french fries, the traditional "rice cake," and much more. All accompanied by excellent local wines, beer, and soft drinks. There's also a YOUTH AREA with a wide selection of special beers, cocktails, mixed fried snacks, sandwiches, and hot dogs. Every evening features plenty of MUSIC and SHOWS, guaranteed even in case of bad weather. TABLE RESERVATIONS: Call +39.327.0515300 by 6:00 PM on the day you wish to book. Reservable seats are in the oratory area. Only groups of at least 8 people/covers can book. Each reservation will be managed with a single order/receipt. Reservations are valid if you arrive within half an hour of the stand's opening time (7:00 PM or 7:30 PM depending on the evening's program); after half an hour, the reservation is canceled. Enjoy DJ SET MUSIC and LIVE MUSIC, a CHARITY FISHING game, KIDS' EVENTS and a LUNA PARK (amusement rides), and PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITIONS. There will also be COMMUNITY AND RELIGIOUS EVENTS.
Indulge in a wide array of culinary delights at the Sagra del Riso. While rice is the star, featured in many specialty dishes, the festival also offers a rich selection of traditional Italian fare. Enjoy succulent mixed grills, classic cotechino sausage, hearty hamburgers, and grilled local cheeses. Savor polenta served with sopressa salami and mushrooms, tender roast beef, delicate carpaccio, and the renowned vitello tonnato. Don't miss the mixed cheese platters, crispy french fries, and the unique traditional "rice cake" for dessert. Each dish is perfectly complemented by excellent local wines, refreshing beers, and other beverages.
