Celebrate the 'king of the woods' at the 20th edition of the Sagra del Porcino in Quassolo! This five-day festival is a vibrant celebration of traditional flavors and community spirit. Food stands will feature the exquisite porcino mushroom in a variety of dishes, from fresh slices served with mocetta, to creamy voul au vent, hearty soups, 'boscaiola' style ravioli, fried, stewed, or sautéed. The event also includes live concerts, family-friendly activities, and a charming local market.
Indulge in a delightful array of porcino mushroom specialties, including creamy porcino voul au vent, traditional polenta, fresh porcino with mocetta, and rich 'boscaiola' ravioli. Savor hearty porcino soup, or try the mushrooms stewed, fried, or sautéed. Other local favorites like spezzatino (stew) will also be available.
Join us for a lively program of events! On SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2026, enjoy a DANCING EVENING with Omar Codazzi at 9:30 PM. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2026, features a CONCERT at 9:00 PM with the Banda Musicale di Loranzé, directed by Maestro Corrado Duregon, and the Filarmonica Quassolo 1848, directed by Maestro Alberto Giovanetto. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2026, starts with 'Puliamo il mondo' in collaboration with the Scuola per l'infanzia 'Gentino Martinallo' at 3:00 PM, followed by the opening of the Gastronomic Stand specializing in PORCINO MUSHROOMS at 7:00 PM, and music from the Modern Fanfara Street Band with Cecilia at 10:30 PM. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2026, the Gastronomic Stand opens again at 7:00 PM, with dancing to the Orchestra The Kiss and special guest Gigliola at 10:30 PM. The grand finale on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2026, includes a Porcino mushroom TREKKING through the woods with Mycologist Marra Diego at 9:30 AM (LIMITED SPOTS – RESERVATIONS at 393 9979831). At 10:00 AM, explore the Market and Exhibitions throughout the village streets, including the Ancient Cellars, the old 'Casun' and 'Mulin', the Parish Church of the Assunta, and the Church of San Bernardo, accompanied by the 'Quintetto di Rueglio' and Occitan Dances by 'La Meiro'. The 'Mulin' will host a photo exhibition 'Quassolo e 20 anni di Sagra'. Lunch at 12:00 PM features Polenta, spezzatino, and stewed porcino mushrooms. An ENJOYABLE TRAIN will take you on a tour of Quassolo. At 3:00 PM, enjoy 'Le Nostre Valli in Concerto'. The Gastronomic Stand reopens at 7:30 PM with PORCINO MUSHROOM specialties, and the evening concludes with a show by Dancing Steve at 10:30 PM. Additionally, on SATURDAY and SUNDAY, visit the personal exhibition by Prof. Vincenzo Melucci at the Saletta in p.zza Violetta.
