On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the Sagra kicks off at 10:00 AM with an opening ceremony and a roundtable discussion on local almond biodiversity and short supply chains at the Centro di Aggregazione Sociale. Later, at 6:30 PM, enjoy a literary review featuring works by Raffaella Pìa Cappai, Raimondo Mascia, and Tore Quartu at the same venue. Sunday, October 4, 2026, starts bright and early at 10:00 AM with the opening of exhibitor stands and a Sardinian almond sweets exhibition in the Salone Parrocchiale and throughout the town streets. At 10:00 AM, the "Giuseppe Verdi" Band of Sant’Andrea Frius will begin its itinerant concert through the streets. At 10:30 AM, the Municipal Library hosts reading promotion activities and a creative workshop dedicated to almonds, while Pro Loco Frias offers almond sweet tastings in the town streets. At 11:00 AM, don't miss the showcooking event with chef Pierpaolo Argiolu "Cozzina," joined by chef Graziano Serra and food expert Raimondo Mandis. In the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, the Municipal Library opens a thematic bibliographic exhibition on Sardinian cuisine. At 3:00 PM, Via Garibaldi hosts a demonstration of traditional almond cake preparation and the awards ceremony for the 4th Edition of the "Sa trutta de Tzia Efisiedda" Contest. From 4:00 PM, enjoy the "Isola in Festa" folk review by Giuliano Marongiu, featuring folk groups and various artists on the stage in Via Garibaldi. Finally, at 6:00 PM, Pro Loco Frias offers another round of almond sweet tastings in the town streets. Throughout both days, enjoy itinerant music with Federico Con on the organetto and Salvatore Contu's vocals, various food stalls, live preparation of amaretti and gattou, and the sale of Sardinian almond-based sweets.
