Join us for three days celebrating one of Sicily's most iconic fruits and a tradition that's now 40 years strong! From October 2nd to 4th, San Cono, near Catania, hosts the 40th Sagra del Ficodindia, an event dedicated to local gastronomy, culture, and traditions. The heart of the town, including Piazza Gramsci and the festival areas, will come alive with tastings, stands featuring ficodindia (prickly pear) and other typical local products, live shows, music, folklore, art, and initiatives highlighting the region. There will also be opportunities to learn about the ficodindia production process and explore the rich heritage of San Cono.
Friday, October 2nd: The festival kicks off with the opening of food stands, tastings, and various entertainment. Saturday, October 3rd: Enjoy more tastings, music, live performances, folklore, and events dedicated to the culture and traditions of San Cono. Sunday, October 4th: The grand finale features tastings, lively entertainment, shows, and special initiatives celebrating ficodindia and the region's finest products.
