Sagra · October 29, 2026 – November 15, 2026 · Area feste di Sospiro, Palafagiolino., Via Adriano Ferrari, Sospiro, CR
In Sospiro, nestled in the heart of the Cremona countryside, the traditional Sagra del Fasùlin returns! This is one of the most beloved folk festivals in the Bassa region, celebrating the legendary fasùlin, a bean typical of this area, cooked according to time-honored recipes. It's a fantastic opportunity to rediscover the simple, authentic flavors of traditional Cremonese cuisine, with activities and fun for the little ones too. The second weekend will feature marubini, a local pasta specialty, lovingly prepared by volunteers.
Indulge in a delightful array of traditional Cremonese dishes! Savor the unique Fasùlin de l'òc cun le cudeghe (beans with pork rinds) or the rich Trippa (tripe), both local favorites. For pasta lovers, there are creamy Gnocchi al Gorgonzola, classic Gnocchi al Pomodoro, and regional specialties like Li Verzii Màti and Tortelli di Zucca. The second weekend highlights Marubini in brodo (pasta in broth) and Tagliatelle al ragù d'anatra (duck ragu tagliatelle). Main courses include a selection of Auricchio cheeses with honey, hearty Costine e verze (ribs and cabbage), Cotechino e lenticchie (pork sausage and lentils), and delicious sandwiches like Panino con porchetta (roast pork sandwich) and Panino pulled pork. Don't forget to save room for dessert with La tùurta Credo con zabaione (Credo cake with zabaione), Salame di cioccolato (chocolate salami), and a selection of F.lli Rivoltini nougat.
