Sutri's Sagra del Fagiolo is a paradise for bean lovers, showcasing the versatility of this humble legume in traditional Italian cuisine. Savor comforting Zuppa di fagioli (bean soup), try the classic Fagioli all'uccelletto (beans with sage and tomato), or the hearty Fagioli con le cotiche (beans with pork rinds). Don't miss the unique Fagioli della Regina, the festival's signature dish, and the satisfying Fagioli e salsiccia (beans with sausage).
The Sagra del Fagiolo kicks off on FRIDAY, AUGUST 28th, with a Tamburini performance in Piazza del Comune at 10:00 AM. Later, at 6:00 PM, the Fablo Citti Memorial Photo Exhibition opens in Piazza San Francesco (also open Saturday and Sunday). The Sagra kitchens open at 7:30 PM in Piazza Donatori di Sangue, followed by group dances with the Irene Grillo Live Orchestra at 10:00 PM. SATURDAY, AUGUST 29th, starts with the Sagra kitchens opening at 12:00 PM. Enjoy live music with Alessandra in Piazza del Comune at 6:00 PM, followed by the official inauguration of the 52nd Sagra del Fagiolo di Sutri with the Banda di Sutri Reginaldo Caffarelli at 6:30 PM. Inside Danza Studio di Ronciglione dancers perform at 6:30 PM in Piazza del Comune, and the CioBom duo plays live music in Piazza Cavour at 7:00 PM. The evening culminates with a DJ Set Live Show Balliamo Viviamo 90 in Piazza Donatori di Sangue at 10:00 PM. On SUNDAY, AUGUST 30th, witness the Sbandieratori di Santa Rosa di Viterbo flag throwers in the historic center at 10:00 AM. The Sagra kitchens open at 12:00 PM and again at 7:30 PM. The Ladispoli Humanity Dance Project dance school performs in Piazza del Comune at 6:30 PM. The festival concludes with a tribute band to Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, 'Antartici Nucleari,' in Piazza Donatori di Sangue at 10:00 PM.
