The 26th Sagra del Caciocavallo celebrates the culinary excellence of the Fortore region with four days dedicated to the "King Caciocavallo" cheese. This event offers tastings of typical local products, traditional first courses, and regional meats, all accompanied by evening musical performances. It's an unmissable opportunity for lovers of great food and authentic Italian traditions.
Indulge in a variety of traditional first courses, savor the star of the festival, Caciocavallo cheese, prepared in many delicious ways, and enjoy locally sourced meats, all showcasing the rich flavors of the region.
Join us for four days of festivities! The event kicks off on Thursday, September 17th, at 7:00 PM with an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting. From Friday, September 18th, through Sunday, September 20th, stands open at 9:00 AM for tastings of Caciocavallo. Lunch, featuring all versions of "King Caciocavallo" along with traditional first courses and local meats, is served daily at 1:00 PM. Evening dinners with "King Caciocavallo" begin at 8:00 PM, followed by live musical entertainment at 9:00 PM. Don't miss the traditional Fiera di S. Fedele on Saturday and Sunday mornings starting at 9:00 AM.
