Join us for the 17th edition of the Sagra del Bruschettone in Castelvieto! This beloved festival offers a rich calendar of events, all accompanied by delicious gastronomic specialties. Indulge in dishes prepared with fresh, local produce from nearby farms, ranches, and gardens. The 'bruschettone' is, of course, the star of the show! Every evening, enjoy entertainment with a dedicated Kids' Area and a traditional Bocce Tournament. Our comfortable, covered food stand ensures you can dine and enjoy the festivities, rain or shine.
Prepare your taste buds for a delightful journey through Umbrian flavors! The star attraction is the 'Bruschettone,' a hearty, flavorful bruschetta that's a local favorite. You'll also find classic Umbrian appetizers, refreshing prosciutto and melon, and traditional side dishes like 'erba cotta' (cooked greens) and crispy french fries. For dessert, don't miss the 'bomboloncini alla crema' – small, cream-filled doughnuts. Throughout the festival, special daily dishes will be featured, including various pasta dishes like 'umbricelli all'arrabbiata' and 'pappardelle al cinghiale' (wild boar ragu), along with grilled meats such as 'agnello scottadito' (grilled lamb chops) and 'tagliata all'aceto balsamico' (sliced beef with balsamic vinegar). Be sure to try the 'torta al testo,' a traditional Umbrian flatbread served with various fillings like local cured ham, sausage, or vegetables. And for seafood lovers, fried cod ('baccalà fritto') will be available on select days.
