Celebrate summer at the 25th Sagra del Baccanale d'Estate in Asigliano Vercellese! From July 24th to 29th, this festival brings the best of Piedmontese cuisine to the table, featuring creamy porcini mushroom risottos, hearty pork shanks, and even mussels alla Tarantina and paella. Each evening, the Area Polifunzionale hosts a gastronomic pavilion alongside vibrant musical performances. Get ready to dance to '80s and '90s hits with celebrity guests like Johnson Righeira, Tracy Spencer, P.Lion, and Scotch, plus fantastic tribute bands. The festival culminates with a fun running race and a spectacular fireworks display.
Indulge in a wide array of Italian culinary delights! Savor exquisite first courses like Linguine allo scoglio (seafood pasta), rich Paella, and various creamy risottos, including Castelmagno cheese with truffle, peas, Taleggio cheese and pancetta, porcini mushrooms, red beet and Gorgonzola, or Toma cheese with caramelized onions. For your main course, explore unique regional specialties such as Cozze alla Tarantina (mussels), Fegato alla Veneziana (Venetian-style liver), crispy fried frogs (Rane Fritte), and classic Stinco con Patatine (pork shank with fries).
The festival runs daily from July 24th to 29th. Each evening, the Gastronomic Pavilion opens at 7:30 PM (or 7:00 PM on Saturday) offering a rotating selection of dishes. 📅 FRI JUL 24: Enjoy Risotto ai Funghi Porcini and Stinco con Patatine, followed by a Mobile Disco with Radio Gran Paradiso at 10:00 PM. 📅 SAT JUL 25: Feast on Risotto Toma e Cipolle and Cozze alla Tarantina, then dance to the Omar Codazzi Orchestra at 9:30 PM. 📅 SUN JUL 26: Attend Santa Messa at the Parish Church at 11:15 AM. In the evening, the Gastronomic Pavilion features Paella, followed by "Gli Anni 80 Il Ritorno" at 10:00 PM with Johnson Righeira, Tracy Spencer, P.Lion, and Scotch. 📅 MON JUL 27: Try Risotto Cremoso Piselli Taleggio Pancetta and Fegato alla Veneziana, then relive the '90s with "Voglio Tornare Negli Anni 90" at 10:00 PM. 📅 TUE JUL 28: Savor Risotto Rapa Rossa Gorgonzola and Rane Fritte, followed by the Shary Band - Disco Music Tribute at 10:00 PM. 📅 WED JUL 29: Join the "I 4 Cantoni" running race (registrations at 7:00 PM, start at 8:00 PM).
