Quattordio invites you to its 49th Sagra dei Sicat, also known as the Zucchini Festival, held in conjunction with the patron saint festivities for Santi Pietro e Paolo. This vibrant event offers a rich program, from theatrical performances and DJ sets to art tours, dinners under the stars, and dance evenings. You'll also find an abundance of local food and wine specialties, featuring delicious zucchini-based dishes and other Piedmontese delights.
Indulge in a wide array of local flavors, from wood-fired pizza to traditional Piedmontese appetizers like bruschetta, cooked salami, and chicken in 'carpione' sauce. Don't miss the unique DE.CO. zucchini specialties, including fried zucchini flowers, zucchini in 'carpione,' and zucchini with eggs. Main courses feature classic Italian pasta like agnolotti (with or without stew sauce) and pesto lasagna, alongside grilled mixed meats, fried anchovies, and various sausages. For a quick bite, grab some fries, and refresh yourself with a selection of beverages, including local wines, beer, and coffee, finishing with delightful desserts.
The festival kicks off on Thursday, June 25th, at 9:00 PM with a dedication ceremony, followed by a theatrical performance of Luigi Pirandello's 'L'UOMO DAL FIORE IN BOCCA' by Compagnia di Prosa di Quattordio. Friday, June 26th, features a 'Dinner Under the Stars' at 7:30 PM, leading into a live DJ set by DJ SPADIX at 9:30 PM. Saturday, June 27th, offers an 'Urban Art TOUR OPERE' at 5:00 PM, a culinary event 'RICETTE E SINFONIE' at 5:30 PM, another 'Dinner Under the Stars' at 7:30 PM, and an evening of 'Happy Music' from the 70s, 80s, and 90s with ANGELO CATTANEO at 9:30 PM. Sunday, June 28th, is packed with activities, including the 'RALLY TAXI-2° AUTOGIRO SUMMER QUA' from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, a Holy Mass at 11:00 AM, scholarship awards at 12:00 PM, and a reception at 12:30 PM. Enjoy vintage F1 slot car racing from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, another 'Dinner Under the Stars' at 7:30 PM, and Latin American dances with ORO CARIBE at 9:30 PM. Monday, June 29th, brings 'Pizza in Piazza' with wood-fired pizza at 7:30 PM, followed by the 'Quiz Game ESAGERATA' by ANGELO CATTANEO at 9:30 PM. The festival concludes on Tuesday, June 30th, with 'VISIONI STELLATE,' an open-air cinema screening of the film F 1 (2025) by J. Kosinski at 9:00 PM.
