The Palio di San Donato is a captivating historical re-enactment that celebrates the patron saint of Cividale del Friuli, inspired by the 14th-century Palio. The five historic districts compete in foot races and archery contests, while costumed parades, fire-eaters, jugglers, and drummers create an authentic medieval atmosphere. Markets and taverns complete the immersive experience into 14th-century traditions.
