Step back in time with the 13th Palio delle Contrade in San Bonifacio! This three-day historical festival kicks off with a Medieval Dinner and friendly challenges between the 'contrade' (districts). The excitement continues with 'La Notte dell'Armistizio' (The Night of the Armistice), featuring a grand historical parade, solemn oaths, and live music. The event culminates in the Palio itself, packed with traditional games and the exciting new 'Palio Kid's' for younger visitors.
📅 Friday, September 4th 🍽️ 7:30 PM: Medieval Dinner by reservation in Piazza Costituzione (€15 cost). 📍 8:00 PM: Challenge between the Contrade in Piazza Costituzione with a game of briscola. 📍 9:30 PM: Parade of the Contesse and Conti of San Bonifacio. 📅 Saturday, September 5th - LA NOTTE DELL'ARMISTIZIO 📍 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Play with 'NO' in C.so Venezia. 📍 7:00 PM: Historical parade, oath ceremony, blessing of the contrade, and a performance by the Sbandieratori di San Bonifacio in Piazza Costituzione. 📍 8:00 PM: Gauntlet challenge, Heralds' race, log cutting. 🎵 10:00 PM: Live Music with 'Barabba - Peccatori'. 🍽️ Food available throughout the evening. 📅 Sunday, September 6th - PALIO DELLE CONTRADE 📍 2:30 PM: Historical Parade at the R. Tizian Stadium in San Bonifacio. 📍 3:00 PM: Games begin: tug-of-war, sack race, assault on the tower, egg toss at the R. Tizian Stadium. 🎉 Big News! PALIO KID'S: historical and contemporary games for children. 🍽️ Food available throughout the afternoon. *In case of bad weather, all three days will be held at Palaferroli.
