Step back in time at the 18th edition of the Palio della Brocca in Deruta! This historical festival brings the 19th-century life of this charming Umbrian village to vivid life, with a special focus on its renowned ceramic tradition. The town transforms into a bustling 19th-century scene, complete with costumed performers, musicians, and flag-wavers. The event features historical parades, exciting competitions between the Borgo, Piazza, and Valle districts, and thrilling games of physical skill, culminating in the crowning of the adult and children's Palio champions. Don't miss the chance to savor typical local dishes at the Deruta tavern!
Indulge in authentic Umbrian flavors at the festival's tavern. Savor delicious pasta dishes like Cappellacci di Bufala al Pomodoro with Stracciatella and Rocket Pesto, Tagliatelle San Donato, and Umbricelli dei Consoli. For meat lovers, there are traditional Arrosticini di Pecora (skewered lamb).
