Sagra · October 17, 2026 – October 18, 2026 · Jesolo (VE)
Get ready for the 5th edition of "M'Illumino di Spezie" in Jesolo Centro Storico! This highly anticipated event, part of the traditional Festa d'Autunno on Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th, 2026, will transform the historic heart of Jesolo into a vibrant stage of aromas, flavors, and culture. It's a celebration of the deep connection between the history of the Serenissima, the region's excellent products, and the art of spices. Following last year's record-breaking success with over 25,000 attendees, the festival returns with its winning formula, conceived by Veneto a Tavola and curated by food writer and gastronomy historian Carla Coco, in close collaboration with the Municipality of Jesolo and support from prestigious partners. Embark on a sensory journey through aromatic profiles and culinary innovation. The 2026 edition features a renewed focus: the main exhibition and guided olfactory path are now organized by the aromatic profiles and properties of spices (warming, balsamic, earthy, and citrusy). This approach draws inspiration from ancient phytotherapeutic and culinary traditions, offering a 360-degree immersive experience. Visitors can explore over 400 varieties of rare aromas and chili peppers from around the world. A major highlight this year is the strengthened synergy with top Italian producers and consortia, particularly the Consorzio Liquirizia di Calabria. Many Jesolo food & beverage establishments are also participating, each "adopting" a spice to create a widespread tasting experience with dedicated dishes, gourmet snacks, ice creams, desserts, and cocktails. Admission to the festival and main exhibition areas is completely free, underscoring the event's commitment to combining high-level cultural dissemination, tradition, and popular hospitality.
