The 13th "Matarocco Fest Saperi e Sapori" Sicilian Folklore Review is a vibrant three-day celebration of Sicilian culture and traditions. Enjoy a rich program of events including gatherings of vintage Vespas and Fiat 500s, live music performances, dialect theater shows, and a tribute to the legendary Adriano Celentano. A dedicated food village will offer delicious local specialties like sausage sandwiches, panelle, busiate matarocco, and traditional Sicilian desserts.
Indulge in a variety of authentic Sicilian flavors at the gastronomic village. Savor traditional street food like the classic panino con salsiccia (sausage sandwich) and panino con panelle (chickpea fritter sandwich). Don't miss the unique busiate matarocco, a local pasta specialty, and a delightful selection of traditional Sicilian desserts.
The festival kicks off on FRIDAY, JULY 10th, with a Vespa rally and parade by Ass. Vespa Club Marsala at 6:00 PM, followed by a motorcycle parade from Ass. Baroni Marsala. The inaugural ceremony and opening of the Gastronomic Village are at 7:30 PM, with musical entertainment by Dj Fabio Tramonta. The evening concludes with the dialect comedy "Paroddrule" by Compagnia Teatrale Terrarussa at 9:30 PM. SATURDAY, JULY 11th, features a parade of vintage Fiat 500s at 6:00 PM. Enjoy a performance by Sabrina Li Manne at 8:00 PM, followed by an Adriano Celentano tribute with Alessandro Gandolfo at 10:30 PM. On SUNDAY, JULY 12th, a folk group rally and parade starts at 6:30 PM from contrada Canale. The Nymera Band performs at 8:00 PM, joined by Viviana Angileri. The festival culminates with a folkloric exhibition and awards ceremony at 9:30 PM. The Gastronomic Village will be open daily from 7:00 PM, offering panino con salsiccia, panino con panelle, busiate matarocco, and traditional desserts.
