Magna Majella is a breathtaking mountain walk from Passolanciano to Serramonacesca, nestled within the stunning Majella National Park. This unique itinerary combines invigorating hiking with delightful tasting stops, offering a true immersion into the region's natural beauty and culinary traditions. Along the way, you'll discover incredible panoramic views, ancient hermitages, and fascinating tholos stone huts, all while sampling authentic local flavors.
Indulge in a variety of traditional Abruzzese delights, including artisanal honey, local cheeses, and classic regional desserts. You'll also savor authentic 'cucina contadina' – traditional peasant-style dishes that showcase the rich, hearty flavors of the local culinary heritage.
Join us on Sunday, August 2, 2026, for the guided walk with tasting stops from Passolanciano to Serramonacesca, known as 'Il Sentiero Del Gusto e delle arti' (The Path of Taste and Arts). Departures from Serramonacesca begin at 6:30 AM, with groups leaving every 30 minutes. Please arrive at the registration desk 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. This event has limited availability, so advance booking is highly recommended. The route difficulty is medium-easy. A gluten-free alternative is available and can be booked until July 28th. The cost is 35 euros (25 euros for children aged 6-10), which includes a shuttle bus, a souvenir gadget, a guided tour, water, and wine.
