L'Agosto Deghese brings the town of Dego to life with evenings of music, delicious food, and fun for everyone. Each night, food stands in Piazza E. Botta offer special dishes and live musical entertainment. The event also features an art and photography exhibition and literary gatherings, providing a rich cultural experience.
Indulge in a variety of Italian culinary delights, from hearty pasta dishes like Fettuccine alla Boscaiola (pasta with a rich forest mushroom sauce), baked pasta, and Troffie with squid ink and grilled shrimp, to savory main courses such as roasted veal, Polenta and Goulash, cuttlefish with peas, and succulent pork shank with potatoes. For a more casual bite, classic hamburgers and hotdogs are also available.
The festival kicks off on AUGUST 13th at 7:30 PM with the opening of food stands in Piazza E. Botta, followed by music from JERRY CARIELLO'S. The special dish for the night is PASTA AL FORNO. Also on AUGUST 13th at 8:00 PM, the "31st Art and Photography Exhibition" and literary meetings will be inaugurated at Scuola dell'Infanzia B. Munari di Dego, featuring an exhibition of "Wild Animals of Valbormida" and a personal photography show by Elio Borchio (open from August 13-16 and 21-23, 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM). AUGUST 14th at 7:30 PM, food stands open with a LISCIO dance evening featuring LUCA PANAMA, and the special dish is SEPPIE CON PISELLI. AUGUST 15th at 7:30 PM, food stands open with another LISCIO evening with I SATURNI, featuring FETTUCCINE ALLA BOSCAIOLA. On AUGUST 16th at 6:00 PM, don't miss "La terra deg uair - LA WETINIO O CON PING PETRUZZELLI" at Loc. Castello. Later that evening, from 7:30 PM in Piazza E. Botta, enjoy a LISCIO evening with IBAMBA, and the special dish is POLENTA E GULASCH. AUGUST 21st at 7:30 PM, food stands open with music from CIPOSUGAR BAND LIVE ZUCCHERO TRIBUTE SHOW, and the special dish is ARROSTO DI VITELLO. AUGUST 22nd at 7:30 PM, food stands open with music from STUDIO 54, featuring TROFFIE AL NERO DI SEPPIA E CODE DI GAMBERO ALLA PIASTRA as the special dish. Finally, on AUGUST 23rd at 7:30 PM, join the FESTA DELLE LEVE with DJ LUCA ESSE, and the special dish is STINCO CON PATATE. After the main food stand closes, HAMBURGER E HOTDOG will be available.
