La Quarta di Scheggino is a vibrant market showcasing local and artisan products, held in Scheggino, one of Italy's most beautiful villages. This charming hillside 'Castello' (castle-town) is nestled along the Nera River. The market takes place every fourth Sunday of the month, from March to December. Key editions include: - April: A special two-day event coinciding with the truffle festival. - July: A two-day special event celebrating Women's Day. - December: A two-day market for the 'Borgo di Babbo Natale' (Santa Claus Village). This market is a fantastic opportunity to discover the authentic flavors and crafts of Umbria, featuring numerous family-run farms, creative hobbyists, vintage artisans, and small antique dealers. During the summer months, the market moves to the cool, shaded natural setting of Parco di Valcasana. You'll find stands from small, family-run farms proudly displaying their high-quality products, crafted with love, passion, and generations of experience. Indulge in local honey, extra virgin olive oil, flours made from ancient grains milled by hand, herbal liqueurs, regional cheeses, porchetta, cured meats, farro, roveja, exquisite chocolate, fresh truffles, and the famous Cannara onion.
