Step back in time with a spectacular medieval reenactment in Ferrara! Experience an authentic encampment, thrilling armored combat, and lively performances by jesters and fire-eaters. Indulge in delicious food and drink at the encampment's taverns, browse a traditional artisan market, and enjoy captivating evening shows. The highlight of the festival is La Giostra equestre del Monaco, an equestrian jousting tournament where knights of the Aquila bianca compete for the title of Paladino Estense. You can even use a special currency, the Scudo di Azzo Novello, to purchase goods and services within the event!

📅 AUGUST 27 - SEPTEMBER 6, 2026 🎭 The medieval encampment is open for visits from 7:00 PM daily. 🍽️ The Taverna dell'Aquila Bianca opens at 7:30 PM (also at 12:30 PM on Sundays) – reservations are recommended. 🏰 Hosteria del Borgo and Locanda del Monaco open from 6:30 PM (Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 PM). 🎮 The Corte dei Giuochi offers medieval games and archery from 6:30 PM (Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 PM). 🛍️ The Strada dei Mercanti (Merchant's Street) opens at 7:00 PM (Saturdays from 5:00 PM, Sundays from morning). 👶 La Maga Pasticciona hosts children's workshops from 6:30 PM (Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 PM) – for reservations, call 339 1110430. 🐎 Pony rides are available at the Maneggio from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM. 🎪 The Arena del Baluardo features shows with jesters and fire-eaters from 9:00 PM. ⚔️ Don't miss the reenactment of the Battaglia di Cassano d'Adda.
