The smell of tradition returns to the streets of Sestola with the new edition of La Fola dla Chersenta, on Saturday 26 (dinner) and Sunday 27 September 2026. Two days are dedicated to one of the most authentic tastes of Modena’s Apennines: crescentina, known as chersènta in the local dialect, a classic flatbread cooked between hot tigelle plates and filled with genuine mountain ingredients. The village becomes a trail of flavor and community, with food stalls and refreshment spots serving old recipes that come from peasant tradition. You’ll also find local product markets, workshops for adults and kids, folk music, and stories that mix history and legend — a true fola, a fairy tale taking life in the historic center.
