The most anticipated autumn event returns to Asso (CO): La Castagnata, celebrating its 11th edition this year. Organized by Asso Incontra in collaboration with Associazione Alpini Asso and AssoTrota, the event will liven up Piazza Mercato on Sundays, October 11, 18, and 25, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM. The absolute stars will be freshly roasted chestnuts, accompanied by many traditional local dishes, also available for takeout. In the afternoon, the festivities will continue with the preparation of Paradello, a typical and irresistible sweet fried pastry from the Como tradition, excellent when paired with a warm glass of Vin Brulé. There will also be entertainment and activities for the little ones, ensuring a day of celebration and conviviality for the whole family. La Castagnata is an opportunity to savor the true flavors of autumn, experience the warmth of the community, and spend a Sunday filled with the aromas of chestnuts, good food, and cheer.
