The HAUST VOLK FEST is a historical reenactment festival celebrating Germanic and Viking culture. The event offers a rich program with historical markets, ancient games, educational workshops on Viking cuisine and archery, weaving and forging labs, conferences, and historical battle demonstrations. Every evening, live concerts and DJ sets liven up the Parco delle Gorghe, accompanied by a well-stocked refreshment area.
Throughout the festival, a fully stocked food and drink stand will be available, offering a variety of refreshments and local specialties to keep you energized as you explore the historical market and enjoy the festivities.
Get ready for an immersive journey into history at HAUST VOLK FEST! 📅 FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 Starting at 3:00 PM, the festival opens with its historical market, ancient games area, and medieval historical camp. At 4:00 PM, join us for greetings from the President and local authorities. The second edition of the 'Torneo dei Duellanti' (Duelists' Tournament) kicks off at 6:00 PM. The evening heats up at 9:00 PM with a live concert featuring the 'Bevermeister,' followed by a DJ set by 'Cosmic Overlords.' 📅 SATURDAY, AUGUST 29 The festival, market, ancient games area, and medieval historical camp open at 10:00 AM. At 11:00 AM, learn about 'Viking cuisine' with the Skovbjorn historical group. At 12:00 PM, delve into 'historical archery' with the Clan dell'Artiglio historical group. A weaving workshop led by the Skovbjorn historical group begins at 2:00 PM. The finals of the 'Torneo dei Duellanti' start at 3:00 PM. Experience the ancient practice of 'Holmgang' at 4:00 PM, presented by the Tyrslog X historical group. At 6:00 PM, attend a conference on 'Celts and Germans: two peoples compared' by the La Sippe di Wotan association. The harvest ceremony, presented by the Federazione Italiana degli Eteni, takes place at 7:00 PM. The night concludes with a live concert at 9:00 PM featuring 'Balt Hüttar' playing Cimbrian Folk Metal, followed by a DJ set by 'Cosmic Overlords.' 📅 SUNDAY, AUGUST 30 Doors open at 10:00 AM for the festival, market, ancient games area, and medieval historical camp. At 11:00 AM, witness a forging demonstration by the Skovbjorn and Clan dell'Artiglio groups. Learn about ancient soap production at 12:00 PM with the Skovbjorn historical group. A conference on 'The archaeology of Germanic peoples: between past and present' with the Associazione Castelli del Trentino is scheduled for 2:00 PM. Awards for the 'Torneo dei Duellanti' will be presented at 3:00 PM. Experience 'Furor Germanicus,' a battle reenactment by the X historical reenactment groups, at 4:00 PM. At 6:00 PM, get to know birds of prey with 'a falcon for a friend' by the 'Harpia Trento' falconry association. The festival closes with a live concert at 8:00 PM featuring 'Ragnarök Nordic & Viking folk,' followed by a final DJ set by 'Cosmic Overlords.'
