The 23rd edition of Giaveno Citta del Buon Pane celebrates local bread-making traditions, featuring artisan breads like micca, biova, mezzana, and stirotto, all recognized with the prestigious De.C.O. designation. You'll also find grissini (breadsticks), cookies, focaccias, and pizzas. A new highlight for 2026 is the launch of the production guidelines for the Grissino Stirato di Giaveno De.C.O. The event includes a traditional wood-fired oven area, workshops for children, and a band gathering with musical groups from various regions.

Join us on Sunday, September 13, 2026, for a full day of festivities! The morning kicks off at 9:30 AM with a Matinée Concert in Parco Comunale Maria Teresa Marchini, celebrating the 140th anniversary of the Banda Musicale Leone XIII, directed by Maestro Paola Convertino. Participating bands include Società Filarmonica Almesina, Società Filarmonica Borgonese, Banda Musicale di Giaglione, Banda Musicale di Sangano, Società Filarmonica Giuseppe Perotto, and Majorettes New Shine Giaveno. Throughout the day, you can watch the crafting and purchase artisan bread, grissini, Biscotti del Pellegrino, and other baked goods from the Associazione Panificatori Artigiani De.C.O. di Giaveno. There will be engaging workshops for children, a display of traditional hand threshing and vintage tractors, a 'Pane e Miele' area, a market featuring local products, and stalls with artisan crafts and hobbies. Explore the historic Mulino della Bernardina, Mulin du Detu, and Mulin du Citu, which will be open to visitors. Enjoy shopping in the town squares and streets. At 11:30 AM, don't miss the official Grissino Cutting Ceremony in Piazza Mautino, which will also welcome a French delegation from Giaveno's twin town, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.
