Fiordifesta celebrates the renowned fiordilatte cheese from Agerola and other typical local products, highlighting the ancient food and wine traditions of Campania. The event features tastings, live music, parades, and a conference on fiordilatte, culminating in a special pairing of fiordilatte with Slow Food Presidia products. Savor appetizers like 'Agerola Miracolosa,' a delightful combination of local bread, fresh fiordilatte, and San Gennaro Miracle tomatoes, or 'La Nobile Agerolese,' a bruschetta featuring fiordilatte with Slow Food Presidium lupin mayonnaise and crushed olives. For main courses, try 'Puttanesca in Giallo,' pasta with yellow Giagiù tomatoes and soft fiordilatte, or 'Raviolo del Casaro,' ravioli filled with fiordilatte, confit cherry tomatoes, and Provolone Del Monaco. The festival kicks off on Saturday, August 1st, at 7:30 PM with the ribbon-cutting ceremony and opening of the 'Fiordilattefiordifesta' stands in Piazza Unità d'Italia, featuring a parade by the 'Cavalieri della Bolla Pontificia A.D.1934' from Cava de' Tirreni. The evening continues with a live concert by 'The black n white' at 10:00 PM. On Sunday, August 2nd, the 'Banda Musicale Città di Agerola' will announce the festival across Agerola's squares in the morning. Stands reopen at 7:30 PM, followed by a concert from the 'Gruppo Folk Città di Agerola' at 8:30 PM in Piazzale San Pietro. Monday, August 3rd, sees the stands open at 7:30 PM, leading up to a performance by 'ROSARIO MIRAGGIO IN TOUR' at 9:30 PM in Piazzale San Pietro Apostolo. The festivities continue on Tuesday, August 4th, with 'Slow food condotta monti Lattari-Costa d'Amalfi' hosting a mini-conference on fiordilatte at 5:00 PM in Piazzale San Pietro. At 7:30 PM, the stands open for a special event where fiordilatte meets Slow Food Presidia products, accompanied by traditional folk music from 'La Paranza Madonna di Bagni' at 8:00 PM. Throughout all Sundays in August, each square in Agerola transforms into a hub of taste and tradition, offering fiordilatte tastings and live demonstrations of how the famous Agerola fiordilatte is made, all set to music and a vibrant atmosphere.
