Fiera di San Martino

Festival · November 7, 2026 – November 11, 2026 · Santarcangelo di Romagna (Rimini)

The Fiera di San Martino is a long-standing autumn tradition that has earned its reputation as one of Italy's most authentically popular fairs, with its fame extending far beyond local borders. Two unique features make this event nationally renowned: the gathering of 'cantastorie' (storytellers) who meet annually for their dedicated National Festival, and the intriguing 'horns' hung under the Arch in the central Piazza Ganganelli. These horns are said to swing, indicating if someone passing beneath them has been betrayed by their beloved. Another major draw for the many visitors to the Fiera di San Martino is the incredible food: from typical products representing various Italian regions to Emilia-Romagna specialties, numerous food stalls are ready to satisfy every craving, from piadina to polenta. Beyond the traditional street market, the city is joyfully 'invaded' by exhibitions of antiques, artisan crafts, cars, and agricultural machinery, filling even its most hidden corners.
