The festivities kick off on July 3rd at 9:00 PM with a concert in the Staffa Parish Church, featuring the La Rocca di Arona and Monte Rosa di Macugnaga choirs. On July 4th, the market exhibition opens to the public, with fifty stalls spread across via Imseng, Piazza Municipio, and via Chiesa Vecchia, plus over twenty additional exhibitors in the fuori Fiera area on via Jacchetti. The official inauguration and greetings from authorities will take place at 3:00 PM in Piazza Municipio. Later that day, at 3:30 PM, a conference titled 'Il nuovo montanaro' will be held in Kongresshaus, discussing the redefinition of identity and professions in the High Lands, from Walser colonization to contemporary times, with speakers Enrico Rizzi, Annibale Salsa, Linda Cottino, Cornelia Bonardi, Alessio Zanetta, and Renato Boschi. At 8:30 PM, the Insegna di San Bernardo will be awarded to Rolf Marti, a scholar of Walser toponymy, in Kongresshaus. The day concludes with a theatrical performance by Compagniadellozio, 'Terre Alte – manuale di sopravvivenza per nuovi Montanari,' by Matteo Riva and Matteo Minetti, starring Matteo Riva and Siria Giraldo. On July 5th at 10:00 AM, a Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Parish Church, officiated by Bishop Jean-Marie Lovey of Sion and sung by the Coro Monte Rosa.
